Freedom Church Veteran Support

At Freedom Church in Canfield, we believe that "freedom isn't free"—and those who have worn the uniform deserve more than just our gratitude. They deserve a community that understands their journey, supports their transition, and honors their sacrifice.
To assist with this, we are launching a new series of events to help veterans understand the resources available to them and help put “local faces” to those resources.
These resources may not deal specifically with veterans but operate in areas of concern for veterans.

May 21, 2026: Veteran Lunch and Learn!

Approximately 1 in 5 veterans report feeling lonely or isolated. While it impacts veterans of all ages, those 18-34 are at a higher risk, with 40% experiencing loneliness.

Per the Cleveland Clinic, loneliness can have significant negative mental and physical impacts on our lives.

Join us for a free Lunch & Learn as we welcome Viki Stoops, from Home Instead for a presentation on "Avoiding the Pitfalls of Loneliness".

Home Instead is a trusted partner in veteran care. They are proud to be a certified provider of specialized care for veterans and their families.
Registration & lunch is free and is open to veterans, their family, and those that serve the veteran community.
